| NS SD40-2 #3494 leads southbound Norfolk Southern local manifest train #G36 while it sits patiently waiting for permission from the Atlanta North District dispatcher to pass the stop signal at Fairbanks Junction in the distance to return to its train around the curve and proceed north on the Krannert District. This is a once weekly move on the C-line to Syntec Industries and back so I was glad to be in the right place at the right time! It's hard for me to believe this was once part of the Central of Georgia's mainline to Chattanooga. |
