Remarks & Notes
Red, Blue and Silver in White River Junction

New England Central GP40-2L 3040 is found at rest in front of the White River Junction passenger station in Hartford, Vermont, late in the afternoon on September 12, 2016. This engine, along with NECR GP38 3845, headed out of town to do some work not too long after the sun set that evening. NECR 3040 is the former Canadian National 9495. Note the station's weather vane, which has a 4-6-2 Pacific on it!
