Fresh out of the paint shop at VMV and shining like a new dollar, PAL 4516 leads the Cane Run empties south at Deering Road. Two MACs were just shy of what was needed to get the Cane Run loads over the road northbound, so a geep was added for good measure. Another purpose of the geep was for unloading at Cane Run, who preferred using them over their center cab GE whenever possible during their last couple years as a coal fired plant. Standard practice was to set over a geep or mother/slug for them to use when yarding trains there.
