Remarks & Notes 
In what easily could have been a scene out of the early 1940's UP 9000, the first of 88 3-cylinder 4-12-2 behemoths ordered by Union Pacific from ALCo beginning in 1926, poses along with crew members for the flashbulbs. Thanks to Steve Crise and the Rail Giants Museum at the Pomona Failrplex for providing the lighting, locomotives, and period-dressed actors for the shoot.
