| MetroPort train MP4 from Tauranga approaches Papatoetoe with not far to the destination of Southdown terminal inland port. In recent years twin ports of Tauranga/ Mt Maunganui have become New Zealand's leading port. NZ being small, most rail traffic is port orientated; export dairy products, meat, logs and coal all start their journey on trains. |
