A few miles out of Cody, Wyoming, is BNSF’s Cody local heading to the Casper Subdivision main line at Frannie on June 24, 2016. Two former Burlington Northern EMD SD70MACs power the short train of four cars and a BN caboose. This 42-mile branch is the last of its kind on BNSF in Wyoming—all the other branches are coal-only spurs around Powder River.
