As the Amtrak Gulf Coast inspection train passes the historic depot in Tallahassee, Florida on 2/19/2016, the Tallahassee Fire Department came out to give the train a traditional fire suppression service "wet down". Crowds came out across four states to see the two day trip. Sponsored by Amtrak and the Southern Rail Commission as an inspection/demonstration trip, it was the first passenger train to travel this route since "Sunset Limited" service was suspended in 2005 due to Hurricane Katrina.
A collection of Amtrak's Sunset Limited during the time it still operated coast-to-coast, all the way to Florida, before it seized operations after Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
