Remarks & Notes
Safely inside the shop at Rusk, Magma Arizona Railroad #7, formerly known as Texas State Railroad #400 and Tremont & Gulf Railway #30, receives some needed TLC before the 2016 steam season. Shop forces were focused on Southern Pine Lumber Co. #28's annual inspection, so the valve and rod brass work taking place on #7 is on the back burner for now. With any luck, we'll see two operating steam locomotives between Rusk and Palestine once again! Of interest, #7 is the only one of the four locomotives that operate on the Texas State Railroad that has not been given a new boiler.
