It’s 6:51 a.m. on February 27, 2016, at Bealville, California. The grass is still wet with dew and the sun is having no luck shining through or burning off the thick morning clouds. Silence is disturbed by a westbound BNSF freight blowing its horn for Tunnels 5 and 4, and then the grade crossing at Bealville. A few moments later, the train curves downgrade into view as it heads toward the west end of Bealville siding. By afternoon, another beautiful, sunny day will brighten Tehachapi Pass.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom seen beauty of railroads from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding sunset to sunrise surprises!)
