When the tender is removed from a steam locomotive, then how do you move the locomotive? This solid coupler was found on the rear of Southern Pacific 4-8-4 4449. This allows the big Lima to be moved, if necessary, by the Oregon Rail Heritage Center's diesel. (Oregon Rail Heritage Center, Portland, Oregon, August 22, 2015)
