1984 was a good year for the former Reading Company station in Pottstown, PA. The 56-year-old structure was added to the National Register of Historic Places, and it received a complete restoration. Here that restoration is nearly complete. Check out that impressive code line!
Photos showing the railroad pole lines. The pole line used four basic electrical circuits - telegraph, telephone, signaling, and power. Modern technologies of fiber optics, microwave, radio, satellite, and computers have been replacing the pole lines.
