Let it shine! Members of the Fire-up 611 Crew take advantage of a little down-time to wipe away a morning's worth of accumulated soot on their big Northern, in preparation for an afternoon of photo run-bys at the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer. The recent restoration on the 611 has left the locomotive looking like a brand new piece, and the pride this crew takes in the results of their handiwork was quite evident throughout this photo shoot.
