| In this midnight perspective near the Bob Julian Roundhouse at the North Carolina Transportation Museum, Norfolk & Western's famous streamlined "J" Class 4-8-4 611 rests just south of the Southern Railway turn table. NCTM has done an outstanding job on the steam locomotive, and at a near record pace. National Train Day was a success, and provided a great up-close look at some of Norfolk Southern and NCTM's motive power. Special thanks to all of the people who made this possible. |
