| After filling out with loads at Flat Top Yard a few miles back at the state line, Elkhorn Shifter 83E knocks down a clear on the N&W CPL’s at Falls Mills with their sights set on Bluefield.
If you look closely one can see three Topgons in this train with freshly rebuilt bottoms. Going on around the time this photo was taken, Portsmouth was putting these old soilders through their last “refurb” program, giving them just a little bit longer service life. |
