An EMD leader on a cab-signaled line is pretty rare, much less a 4-axle one. But this ballast train needed a leader when it arrived in Richmond, and an Ex. Conrail GP40-2 was the choice. Seen here, CSX train W070 has a GP40-2 leading a pair of SD50-2's, both of Seaboard heritage.
