Remarks & Notes
EMD wide-nose locomotives such as SD70Ms on Union Pacific featuring winged logos are not exactly centered on the nose, but is is especially noticeable on newer SD70ACes, due to the size and location of the nose door and the desire to include all lettering on the shield logo. The nose of UP SD70ACe No. 8620 is seen at Joliet, Illinois, on November 10, 2010. In the “big scheme” of things, the offset logo is hardly apparent and the wings are certainly a wonderful addition to the nose of UP locomotives.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
