| 'Tis the season to be jolly and Tanfield Railway are already taking children to the North Pole to visit Santa Claus. 9 trains a day are run, each with 45 children along with their parents and relations on board, between East Tanfield station and Andrews House station which is renamed the North Pole for the duration of the season. This is day 4 of the Santa Specials and it is train number 5 of the day. Day 9 and day 10 is when I will be donning the red suit and the prickly nylon beard something I have done for 15 years and have loved every day. |
