Tough winter day on the Kyle—13 Former Southern Pacific Tunnel Motors (CEFX EMD SD45T-2s) push hard on Kyle plow MWK 06 flying through the snow drifts east of Edson, Kansas on Kyle’s Phillipsburg Subdivision on January 2, 2007. I thought it might be fun to look a series of images of Kyle battling the elements on a tough winter day in western Kansas… after a 30-inch snowstorm. As I write this though, the Denver area is stuck in a very early season cold snap—with a low of -13°F predicted tonight—so maybe using the word “fun’ is pushing it!
