| Colas Rail Freight is almost certainly a contender for the most interesting locomotive fleet in the UK. As well as more modern locos including a number of class 66's and new class 70's the company retains a significant amount of class 56's, 47's and 37's. Ex-DBS class 60's are also being refurbished for the company and the first one, no.60087 hauled a rare freight move down the South Western Mainline to Eastleigh from Rugby for driving training. On the 4th July 2014, 60087 is seen leading a full colas liveried train over Wimbledon West Junction whilst working 6Z70 08:50 Rugby Depot to Eastleigh Yard. Class 70's no.70804 is seen behind the loco with 70810 tagged on the rear for good measure. |
