Freight train steamlocomotive 52 8079 (2-10-0) was built as one of more then 6000 units of the 52 series "war locomotive" in 1943 by Schichau in Elbing. In 1963 reconstructed in the RAW Stendal for the Deutsche Reichsbahn of the German Democratic Republic (GDR) as 52.80 and today running for the Dampf Plus Gmbh. The train is leaving Dresden main station for a parallel run over the Tharandt ascent together with 18 201.
