Rumbling along the Missouri River on the morning of September 12, 2011, are two Montana Rail Link SD40-2XRs (Nos. 252 and 253) powering MRL’s Helena Local into Lombard, Montana. In the foreground is the abandoned Milwaukee Road Pacific Extension main line bridge across the Missouri.
