BNSF Railway train Q-NYCLAC1-01A (Guaranteed Service Intermodal; New York NY to Los Angeles CA) passed through Danby, California, between Needles and Barstow. Norfolk Southern's Pennsylvania Railroad Heritage unit, ES44AC 8102, leads the train, along with NS Dash 9-40CW 9898 and BNSF Dash 9-44CW 670. Local railfans were ecstatic about the 8102 being on the point, and crossing the desert during daylight hours!
