| Every year CSX shuts down the ex-CRR to perform a "maintenance jamboree" on a portion of the line. The regular trains don't run and railfans might think there's no action, but not so. The oldies show up and are hidden here and there up the "hollers" doing interesting things as this veteran does under the spreading mimosa tree one summer day. The location is very imprecise so maybe a member of the "Clinchfield Mafia" can update it. I think it's at Allen but don't have the slide. |
