Amtrak's Zephyrs stop in McCook, Nebraska, in the middle of the night. Here is Amtrak #5, the westbound San Francisco Zephyr (Chicago IL to Oakland CA) with 13 cars, over three hours late, arriving at McCook in the daytime. Lead engine 327, an F40PHR, is only 10 months old.
