One of my first Kodachrome images captures the Rio Grande Zephyr, train No. 18, curving through Thistle as viewed from the Highway 89 bridge on the east edge of town. The picture was shot with my brand new Cosmic 35 camera that my parents gave me for my 12th birthday. The optics of the lens proved inadequate, and I soon moved on to a second hand Canon FT 35mm SLR.
