It's hard to believe that a year ago today, there was not a trace of snow and temps were in the 70's. Today is a little different. 50 MPH winds the night before prompted BNSF to send a plow down its Watertown Sub. While trains run on the stretch from Appleton to Watertown 4 days a week, anything west of Watertown is run on Tuesday's, or as-needed. Fortunately for us, we were treated to a snow-dozer, pair of BNSF geeps, and a Jordan spreader clearing the seldom used line to allow the Local to run to Vienna, SD to pick up a couple empty centerbeams.
