Remarks & Notes
The second coal train of the day storms upgrade from Mifengyan station. It is bound for the Huangcunjin coal mine at the end of the 20 kilometer 760 mm narrow gauge railway. The Ba-Shi Railway known as Shibanxi to the west, was the last narrow gauge common carrier in the world to rely solely on steam for both passenger and freight trains. Up until August 2012, 4 passenger and 4 coal trains ran on a daily basis behind these C2 0-8-0 locomotives. Now this line is a popular tourist attraction, but the regular passenger and coal trains are gone, replaced by blue coaches and green steam locomotives.
