| The Coldest Place in the Nation Boca got this nickname when it recorded the lowest ever temperature in California at a balmy -45 degrees F. Here, a patched Southern Pacific AC4400CW comes gliding down Donner Pass as it brings a huge MRVRO train through a winter wonderland along the Truckee River near Boca, California. |
