Operating days numbered, MIRS 113 runs light westbound across the causeway between Vallejo and Mare Island. The Mare Island Rail Service (owned by Tri-City & Olympia Railroad) evacuated all of their equipment from the island before the Dec. 31, 2012 deadline imposed by landowner / developer Lennar Mare Island, LLC after their contract was cancelled.
