Remarks & Notes
During the third week of September, the oak brush along the hills in Spanish Fork Canyon is usually at or close to peak color. Here Rio Grande coal train #734 winds through the canyon with 84 IPPX coal hoppers bound for loading at the Skyline mine in Carbon County. The well matched set of new SD60Ms were on loan from the UPRR at Provo with the UP 6144, 6148, and 6139 for power.

No matter what the paint or engine, there is something about a pair or group of identical engines that really makes a photo tick.
