Remarks & Notes
The Brienz Rothorn Bahn has 3 generations of cogwheel steamlocomotives in active service. H 2/3 # 6 from the second generation was built in 1933 by SLM Winterthur. 300 HP, coal fired. Transmission via front mounted cranks and gear reduction. Note: the ride characteristics were improved by the positioning the cylinders inside near to the centre of balance. Speed 9.0 km/h maximum at 25.0 % (1 in 4 gradient) and under full loading with two cars.
