| In 1986, the National Model Railroad Association held its annual convention in Salt Lake City. NMRA chartered a passenger special with the Salt Lake Garfield & Western Railroad for convention attendees. The little train is pictured near the International Center Business Park performing a runby for fans. The D.S.7 is an EMD SW9 (blt. Aug. 1951), acquired from the Burlington Northern in October 1985. Its career on the SLGW was short as it was sold to J. R. Simplot at Don, Idaho in 1988. |
