Remarks & Notes 
Rock Island F2 49 apparently had to have a face make-over once upon a time, and not having any extra headlights, the shop forces sheet-metaled over the nose. This is NOT a photoshopped exercise! 49 is about to move at CRI&P's engine facility at Kansas City, Missouri on Feb. 22, 1966. It was traded to EMD four years later and scrapped at age 24.
