A late Blue Island, IL, to Council Bluffs, IA, west train, rolls towards Newton with 6800 feet of train. they have work at Marengo and Kellogg en route. Here they begin to slow down for the work at Marengo. Marengo Publishing Company is a normal stop for the west train most days.
