A new D&RGW wide vision caboose trails a hotshot westbound freight departing Provo, Utah. Rio Grande 01515 was the first of a 10 car order from International Car that featured Waugh cushioned under frames, axle driven generators and oil stoves. The metal box on the side of the car is an air filtration system designed to keep coal dust and diesel fumes away from the interior. The 01515-01524 were the Rio Grande's last acquisition of new cabooses.
