| Vista at Tanglefoot. In an effort to maintain a practical grade though the steep grades of both CO and NM, the Rio Grande engineered several horseshoe grades in it's lines easing the climb. In this image you can see three levels of tarckage connected by two horseshoe curves. DRG&W #489 is seen dressed as #485 during a Lerro Productions charter. |
