Remarks & Notes |
Railroad Attire - Alaskan Style! - Only in Alaska would typical railroad work clothes include ExtraTuffs. Considering the wet heavy sloppy snow it's probably a smart choice. Here White Pass Superintendent of Rail Operations Ed Hanousek (a second generation White Passer whose father served as Superintendent decades earlier) digs for a smoke as he surveys the organized chaos of three trains (the rotary fleet, a work train, and the passenger chase train) switching at White Pass Summit. This photo was taken mere feet north of the international boundary. |
