| My girlfriend and railfanning partner in crime for the afternoon waves at the crew of a passing mixed freight as it slows to a stop for a crew change at the Bristol yard office. Also, of interest in this shot is the hedge spelling "SR". There is another maroon colored hedge spelling "NW" paying homage to the two railroads which once converged here. Of course in the background is the classic Bristol sign denoting the state line that runs down the middle of State Street, and lastly in this busy scene, a soldiers' memorial is to the right. |
