The entire UP Coast Sub is in the process of getting a major upgrade, including dozens of trains worth of new ballast, new ties and modern signals. A new set of tri-light signals stand to my left, waiting to be switched on. The searchlights in the background are soon to go. CWR was installed a few years ago.
