| Remarks & Notes  |
| It's shortly after 10 PM in the Land of the Midnight Sun and shooting is just starting to get a little difficult with some shadows creeping onto the right of way. An 86 car southbound loaded gravel train finds a pocket of sun between the trees as it heads back towards Anchorage after loading at the Granite facility at Birchwood just under 6 miles north of this point. These heavy unit trains cycle around the clock in the summer months hauling aggregate into the Anchorage metro area for construction and road building projects. |
