Conrail WHSN-11 works the crumbling remains of Reading Anthracite's St. Nicholas Central Breaker at St. Nicholas, PA on June 8, 1987. Shortly after this photo was taken, the crew was taking MP15 No. 9627 into the track on the right and derailed. Not surprisingly, considering the condition of the track, they acted like it was business as usual. They gathered up some pieces of wood to use as blocks and had it re-railed in no time.
