A trio of well matched EMD's from the 1990's lead a Fresno, CA to North Platte, NE perishables Q train east through Echo Canyon at Castle Rock, Utah. At left is a short tunnel which the Union Pacific had planned to daylight. For reasons unknown, the project was never completed.
