| In the waning days of steam, we made several trips to Burlington's Clyde Yard in Cicero to find steam survivors. On this beautiful sunny day we were rewarded with CB&Q 5617 basking in the sun near the roundhouse. The fresh black paint on her running gear suggests she has recently received class repairs. In the background her eventual replacement, a set of EMD FT units, can be seen, but today all is well for the big northern as she waits for her next assignment. |
