Westbound C&O Train No. 41, the Newport News section of the "George Washington" is about to slam across the RF&P diamond at Doswell, VA in April, 1970. Although HN tower was still standing, and is to this day, it was closed in 1958 when RF&P went to CTC. HN, as well as several other towers, were maintained by RF&P over the years to house signal control equipment. C&O No. 41 will run to Charlottesville where it will combine with No. 1, the Washington section, for the run west.
