Remarks & Notes
The southbound Crescent races through the west Alabama woods at a location which holds much sentimental value for the photographer. My grandfather used to belong to a hunting club which owned the property along the railroad right-of-way here. During my childhood and early teens, my grandfather and I frequently visited this location, known around the club as 'Alamuchee' due to its proximity to Alamuchee Creek, so he could hunt and I could watch trains. Many of my earliest and most formative train-watching experiences were at this very spot.
