While for many years I considered the C&O code line to be annoying, casting unappealing shadows across the rails making it hard to capture the perfect "well lit" photo, I have now began to realize that I instead, appreciate the C&O code line. With most of the C&O signals gone along CSX's Kanawha Subdivision, the only thing from the C&O era that now remains is the code line. Unfortunately, in recent months, CSX has hired contractors to remove the existing code line and poles, which will be the final straw to killing the C&O through the Kanawha Valley.
