| The LS&I's pair of U25C's never seemed to be operational at the same time after the late 70's. The 2501 was out of service for a number of years and when it was finally returned to service the 2500 was laid up. In this photo taken on a mid April day the 2500,2302,2401 have the 7AM Hill job arriving at Eagle Mills with a string of empties. The weather forecast had called for sun but upon arrival at Marquette we were blessed with total cloud cover along with a combination of wet snow and freezing rain. Normal Upper Michigan "spring" weather. |
