Remarks & Notes
Flags on Flag Day: A set of clean Union Pacific SD70 series units with United States flag decals, lead a 75 car North Platte to West Colton manifest up the Lynndyl Sub just west of Erda, Utah. The train was struggling along at 22 mph with a much faster stack train closing in from behind. Both westbound trains would meet the St. John local that was tucked away in the siding at Warner. UP dispatcher 5 would eventually line the stacker around the slow MNPWC drag freight at Faust.
