Remarks & Notes
Union Pacific's 'Short Line Transfer' has just completed it's journey from Roper to North Yard in downtown Salt Lake City. Utah's State Capitol looms on aptly named 'Capitol Hill' to the east. This structure was designed by Utah architect Richard K.A. Kletting in 1912 and was completed in 1916. Kletting’s plan incorporated modern construction methods and materials including reinforced concrete, elevators and electric lighting.
