| Homeward Bound. An afternoon train from Silverton comes off the Animas River Bridge on the outskirts of Durango and will shortly be arriving back at Durango Station. On point today is #482, one of four K-36s that actively work this line. The round trip from Durango to Silverton is a lengthy journey of just over 9 hours, covering about 90 miles. It includes a 2 hour and 15 minute layover in Silverton. |
